The Thomas Cook Group originated from the merger of ‘Thomas Cook' and ‘My Travel' on 19. June 2007 and is since listed at the London stock exchange.  The name Thomas Cook refers back to the correspondent "inventor of package tours", who offered the first group tours in England already 160 years ago.
